Interests

I study consumer behavior and am especially interested in consumer welfare outcomes, such as health and wellbeing.

I am particularly interested in theoretical constructs pertaining to
  • Behavioral involvement and personal control
  • Self-evaluative feelings, such as guilt, shame, and regret
  • Motivated reasoning, in particular self-serving attribution of responsibility
  • Compensatory consumption, in particular of consumers' sense of personal control
... especially as they apply to substantive domains such as
  • Eating behavior
  • Co-production
